Born Stephen Patrick David Gately in Dublin on the 17th of March 1976 - Stephen has been involved in
acting, singing and dancing from an early age. He answered an advert in Dublin looking for guys to
audition for Ireland's first boyband. Boyzone was born and experienced phenomenal success in their
first 7 years together. When the band took a break Stephen released some solo material and then went
on to play a number of musical theatre roles from Joseph to The Child Catcher with great reviews.
Boyzone got back together in 2007 so Stephen was back working with Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy, Michael
Graham and Ronan Keating again performing and recording music. Watch out for the new Boyzone album
in 2010.
